The Argilla Table is composed of slender wooden slats, evenly spaced and supported by a concealed internal frame. Subtle non-cast metal spacers punctuate the composition, preventing the slats from touching and adding a quiet tension. At each corner, polished metal accents provide definition and structure. Its name (Argilla, Italian for “clay”) refers to the material founder William C. Stuart used to sculpt the original form for his debut exhibition at Salone del Mobile in Milan, 2009.
