Light Oil-rubbed Bronze

Bronze is a metal alloy consisting primarily of copper, and other elements such as tin, aluminum, or silicon. The degree of oil-rubbing makes it darker, from its natural color on one extreme, to near black.

Macassar Ebony

Macassar Ebony is known for its extreme dark, almost black color, which today is very rare. Its heartwood can range in color from dark brown to greyish-brown, with black streaks or brown mottling. It has a fine texture and is usually straight grained.

Mahogany Burl

Its reddish-brown color darkens over time, and displays a reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability, and is very durable. Historically, the tree's girth allowed for wide boards from traditional mahogany species.

Makore

Also called African Cherry. Reddish brown with a fine grain.

Maple

Maple's sapwood color ranges from nearly white, to an off-white cream color, occasionally with a reddish or golden hue. Has closed pores and a fine texture.

Oak

Oak is one of the most utilized woods for furniture due to its strength and evenly grained appearance. It is often used for barrels to age wine and spirits.

Palisandro do Rio

This stunning hardwood from Brazil features rich browns and tans side-by-side with little or no gradation between the two.

Paraiso

A light-colored hardwood native to South America.
It has medium, well-defined marbling, and is quite light for its hardness. Available in any finish, and as solid, veneered and in slabs.

Persian Walnut Burl

Hard, dense, tight-grained and polishes to a very smooth finish. The color ranges from creamy white in the sapwood to a dark chocolate color in the heartwood. Often but incorrectly known as "English Walnut" in the United States.

Quilted Sycamore

Color is a pale whitish yellow to a light honey color. Heartwood has a slight brown to pink tint.

Recovered Pine

Each piece unique, recovered from demolition site. Wood may vary from piece to piece, but we can reduce contrast with a light finishing to make uniform, if desired.

Rosewood

Its black streaks can sometimes form a unique grain pattern that is referred to as "spider-webbing" or "landscape."

Soita

Soita is a beautiful hardwood native to Argentina. The wood exhibits broadly contrasting grain and exhibits different characteristics based on the chosen finish.

South American Cherry

A semi-hardwood with very light coloring and virtually no marbling. Excellent for painting, dark stains, or cabinetry. Available FSC Certified.

Spanish Elm

This golden-brown wood is available through Costantini in either solid or veneer, and has profoundly deep yet subtle graining. Available in darker finishes as well.

Steel

Steel is an alloy that consists mostly of iron. Stainless steel is excellent for use outdoors. Our steel finishes include brushed, polished, lacquered and blackened.

Striped Ebony

Used since ancient times, the wood's dense hardness lent itself to refined moldings. This particular veneer forms parallel white stripes.

Swiss Pear

Heart and sapwood are evenly coloured a yellow-white to reddish colour. Even, fine pore structure. Darkens when exposed to light. In some cases a darker, red-brownish to black-brown core occurs (false heartwood).

Teak

A very hard, dense, honey-colored wood that can be used indoors or out.

Walnut

Hard, dense, lightly figured and polishes to a very smooth finish. Uniform grayish-brown in color. Available in any finish, as solid, veneered or in slabs.

Walnut Burl

Has a medium texture and moderate natural luster.
Heartwood can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks.

Walnut Waxed

Hard, dense, lightly figured and polishes to a very smooth finish. Uniform grayish-brown in color. Available in any finish, as solid, veneered or in slabs. Shown here in an unsealed, waxed finish.

Wenge

Dark brown, almost black with fine black and tan lines. Straight grained, coarse textured.

White Erable

Heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with an olive cast. Nearly white to light brown sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Quartersawn sections display prominent ray fleck patterns.

Zebrawood

A heavy hard wood with a somewhat coarse texture, with the typical so-called zebra stripes, often with an interlocked or wavy grain. The heartwood is a pale golden yellow, distinct from the very pale color of the sapwood and features narrow dark streaks.
